About Pinnacle Treatment Centers

Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Pinnacle Treatment Centers began in 2006 with the acquisition of four treatment centers in Pittsburgh and Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Early in 2008, Pinnacle added three more facilities in New Jersey. Early in 2011, Pinnacle added Endeavour House Residential Treatment Center and outpatient counseling facilities in New Jersey. Each year, our facilities provide drug addiction treatment and services at 17 facilities to more than 10,000 adults.

Corporate Officers

• Ken Kessler, MD—CEO
  Prior to starting Pinnacle, Dr. Kessler founded American PsychManagement in 1984 and APS Healthcare in 2003. APM was a leading managed behavioral health company that is now part of ValueOptions. APS remains a leading independent disease management company.
• Scott Cohen, CPA—Assistant Vice President/Controller
  Mr. Cohen joined Pinnacle with over 14 years of varied accounting and financial management experience. He has been a CPA in Pennsylvania since 1996.
• Joseph L. Pritchard, VP Residential Treatment Division
  Joe joined Pinnacle in 2011 with over 30 years of experience in the substance abuse treatment field, most recently as Vice President of Midwest Operations for CRC Health Group, Inc. where he was responsible for outpatient treatment services, opiate treatment programs and residential treatment facilities in 11 states representing over 16,000 patients. He has extensive experience in the development and integration of best practice systems/initiatives within an array of settings. In addition to his duties as VP of the Residential Treatment Division, Joe is also acting Executive Director of Endeavor House, Keyport, NJ. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Rutgers University and his PhD in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University.
